Nurse Practitioner (Avondale Office)

Primary Function: The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for managing all aspects of patient preparation and supervision for Pinnacle Vein and Vascular Center. He/she will be expected to perform, as well as assist physicians in the completion of relevant paperwork, and patient follow-up.

Major Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assesses patient health by interview and by obtaining and/or updating medical history
  • Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records
  • Performs physical examinations and provides treatment and counsel
  • Recognizes and evaluates patients who require the immediate attention of a physician and, when necessary, initiates emergency medical treatment without supervision
  • Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests and laboratory studies
  • Follows-up on x-rays and laboratory data
  • Performs therapeutic procedures such as injections, suturing, post-operative care and management of wound care and infections
  •       Identifies patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand care requirements
  •       Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families
  •       Promotes patient’s independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching patient, friends, and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills; answering questions
  •       Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards
  •       Documents patient care services by charting in patient EMR and/or department records
  •       Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential and adhering to HIPPA
  •       Record and analyze patient medical histories, symptoms, and conditions

Requirements: 

  • Current ACLS/BLS
  • Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner training program
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse practitioner
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Active DEA License
  • Malpractice Insurance  
  • Excellent decision-making skills in regards to diagnostic patient care
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong people management skills and team working skills
  • Good organizational and time planning skills
  • Ability to multi-task and follow-up on a number of current projects

Vascular Sonographer

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • ·      Performs Diagnostic Ultrasound studies of the superficial and deep venous systems to evaluate for venous insufficiency and DVT
  • ·      Perform all follow-up scans at the direction of the Providers
  • ·      Perform ultrasound examination of patients to create Venous Flow Map for purposes of the physician recommending a safe, effective treatment plan
  • ·      Adhere to the standard time allotments for each type of scan in order to maintain the smooth and efficient flow of patients throughout the course of the scheduled day
  • ·      Review and update the ultrasound schedule to ensure quality patient care and safety and to maintain the patient load at an efficient and productive level
  • ·      When not actively engaged with a scheduled patient, assist other staff members with their duties in the spirit of teamwork in order to maintain an effective and efficient operation
  • ·      Maintain a record of up-to-date credentials and necessary CMEs
  • ·      All other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications:

Education:

  • ·     5+ years’ experience preferred in Vascular Ultrasound
  • ·     Experience with vein mapping
  • ·     Must have graduated from an accredited vascular technology program and be a Registered             Vascular Technologist (RVT), Registered Vascular Sonographer, or (RVS) Registered Phlebology Sonographer (RphS) to gain preferred status
  • ·     CPR (American Heart Association)- preferred
Radiologic Technologist (OBL)

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  •       Assist in angiograms and other imaging procedures in office-based lab
  •       Operate and maintain CARM machine and other lab equipment 
  •       Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures
  •       Collaborate with surgeon, nurses and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
  •       Document and maintain accurate patient records, procedure logs, and required paperwork for compliance 
  •       Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives, adhering to radiation safety and infection control standards
  •       Respond effectively to emergency situations, providing support in critical scenarios
  •       Stay updated on advancements in vascular imaging technology through ongoing education and training
  •       Confirming upcoming OBL procedure with Surgery Scheduler
  •       Looking over surgery packet and verifying all information is accurate
  •       Preparing patient charts before office-based lab procedures
  •       Complete post-op patient calls after procedure
  •       Scanning in OBL paperwork after procedures 
  •       Uploading OBL Op-notes to Aprima
  •       Scheduling OBL subcontractors for shifts
  •       Dispose of Contaminated Supplies as per OSHA standards
  •       Facilitate communication between the patient and other health care professionals
  •       Cooperates with facility healthcare professionals and complies with facility policies/procedures
  •       Inventory stock, placing orders, verifying receipt
  •       Run profit/loss reports on each case
  •       Attend monthly meeting with team to maintain flow and efficiency 
  •       Follows quality assurance guidelines and maintains patient confidentiality
  •       Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures complying with legal regulations
  •       Perform other duties as required 

Position Qualifications and Special Skills and Requirements:

  •       Current ACLS/BLS certification
  •       High School Diploma or equivalent
  •       Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program with a focus on interventional radiology
  •       Current state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist
  •       Minimum of 2 years of experience in an office-based lab setting
  •       Supply Management
