AAA REPAIR
Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) repair is a surgery to fix a weak and swollen area of the body’s main artery. Without treatment, the swollen area (aneurysm) can rupture and cause life-threatening internal bleeding.
ABDOMINAL AORTIC ANEURYSM (AAA) REPAIR
Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) repair is a surgery to fix a weak and swollen area of the body’s main artery. Without treatment, the swollen area (aneurysm) can rupture and cause life-threatening internal bleedin
ABLATION
Ablation is a same-day, outpatient procedure that is often recommended for patients who want to reduce the effects or improve the appearance of varicose veins. Radiofrequency ablation heats and collapses abnormal vein tissue, allowing blood to flow naturally through surrounding healthy veins, and usually restores natural coloring to the skin around the treated area.
AORTA BYPASS
The body’s main artery is the aorta. Bypass surgery (constructing a new route of blood flow) may be necessary if the aorta becomes blocked by a blood clot or other cause. Aorta bypass in an in-patient procedure performed in a hospital operating room under general anesthesia.
AORTOGRAM/LOWER EXTREMITY ANGIOGRAM
Aortagram is an outpatient test that allows health care providers to examine the physical structure of the aorta (the body’s main artery, leading from the heart to the abdomen). A contrast dye is injected into the aorta, and X-ray images are taken to reveal the flow of blood and any unusual activity.
ARTERIAL & VENOUS STENTS
Blood flows away from the heart through arteries, and toward the heart through veins. Both arteries and veins have a thin interior barrier known as endothelium lining. This tissue normally helps blood to flow smoothly and freely; but it can be damaged by high blood pressure, lifestyle habits such as smoking, and other causes. If this happens, cholesterol and plaques can build up on the endothelium lining and restrict blood flow. Your healthcare provider can correct this situation by placing a stent (a tiny fabric or metal mesh tube) inside the blood vessel to restore proper flow and reduce the risk of health complications.
CAROTID ENDARTERECTOMY
Carotid arteries are the main blood vessels on each side of the neck that deliver blood to the brain. Reduced blood flow because of injury or blockage can cause a stroke, with life-threatening results. Carotid endarterectomy is a surgical procedure that removes build-up from the artery walls and restores normal blood flow, If you are a candidate for this procedure, your healthcare provider can advise whether it should be performed under local or general anesthesia, and as an inpatient or outpatient procedure.
DEEP VENOUS THROMBOSIS DVT EVALUATION & TREATMENT
Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) occurs when a blood clot forms in a vein deep within the body, often the thigh or calf. While the condition produces symptoms in only about half of patients, these may include: -Pain -Swelling -Red or discolored skin -Warmth around the area DVT is a serious medical condition that requires immediate attention. Without treatment, the clot can break free and travel to the heart or lungs, potentially causing death. The providers at Pinnacle Vein and Vascular use a number of modern techniques to diagnose DVT, including ultrasound and venography. Clots can often be dissolved with blood thinners, or broken down and removed
ENDOLUMINAL GRAFT ELG
Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) repair is a surgery to fix a weak and swollen area of the body’s main artery. Without treatment, the swollen area (aneurysm) can rupture and cause life-threatening internal bleeding.
ENDOVENOUS RADIOFREQUENCY ABLATION VNUS CLOSURE
Ablation is a same-day, outpatient procedure that is often recommended for patients who want to reduce the effects or improve the appearance of varicose veins. Endovenous laser ablation uses a small fiber inserted into the varicose vein to heat and collapse abnormal tissue. Radiofrequency ablation also heats and collapses abnormal vein tissue, allowing blood to flow naturally through surrounding healthy veins, and usually restores natural coloring to the skin around the treated area. VNUS Closure® delivers radiofrequency energy and then heat to the damaged tissue to collapse it. Patients generally resume normal activity the same day.
IVC FILTER PLACEMENT & RETRIEVAL
IVC (inferior vena cava) filters help to prevent blood clots that have broken loose from the lower extremities, from traveling to the heart or lungs.
LEG BYPASS
Please see Peripheral Intervention
LYMPHEDEMA EVALUATION & TREATMENT
Swollen tissue from buildup of fluid containing protein and cell debris can sometimes result after treatment for cancer or DVT (deep vein thrombosis). There’s no cure for this condition, known as lymphedema, but Pinnacle Vein and Vascular healthcare providers offer a number of therapies to control pain, reduce swelling, and restore normalcy of life. Please allow us to discuss and identify appropriate therapies which may include: -Wraps or compression garments -Physical therapy -Massage -A combination of therapies and lifestyle changes
PAES (Popliteal Artery Entrapment Syndrome)

PAES, or Popliteal Artery Entrapment Syndrome, is a rare condition where the popliteal artery in the knee becomes compressed or trapped, often by nearby muscles or tissues. Treatment typically involves a combination of conservative measures such as physical therapy and lifestyle modifications, along with surgical intervention in severe cases to release the entrapped artery and restore normal blood flow to the lower leg.

PERIPHERAL INTERVENTION ANGIOPLASTY STENT PLACEMENT ATHERECTOMY
Peripheral artery disease (PAD) causes reduced blood flow because of plaque buildup within the arteries. Patients with PAD often experience pain, cramping, or discomfort when moving or exercising, and a general sense of tiredness in the legs. In early stages of the disease, symptoms tend to be less severe when the patient is at rest. Pinnacle Vein and Vascular Centers offers a number of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches including: -Angioplasty, which uses a catheter to open up a blocked artery -Stent placement, in which a tiny fabric or metal mesh tube is placed inside a blood vessel to restore proper flow and reduce the risk of health complications -Atherectomy, which uses a catheter to scrape or scrub the inside of vessels at trouble points to restore healthy blood flow.
PELVIC CONGESTION SYNDROME
This syndrome is also known as pelvic vein incompetence and is a chronic medical condition in women caused by varicose veins in the lower abdomen. This condition causes chronic pain, often manifesting as a constant ache, which can be aggravated by standing. If you feel like you may have Pelvic Congestion Syndrome call 1.888.553.VEIN(8346) to schedule your consult today.
PHLEBECTOMY
Renal angiography helps your healthcare providers to visualize kidney-related blood vessels and see any abnormalities including narrowing or swelling. At the same time as diagnosis, your healthcare provider can use a catheter to remove blockages and restore healthy blood flow.
RENAL ANGIOGRAPHY WITH INTERVENTION
Renal angiography helps your healthcare providers to visualize kidney-related blood vessels and see any abnormalities including narrowing or swelling. At the same time as diagnosis, your healthcare provider can use a catheter to remove blockages and restore healthy blood flow.
SCLEROTHERAPY
Sclerotherapy is a commonly recommended treatment for varicose veins and spider veins. A brief injection (or quick series of injections) scars the inside of the varicose vein, causing it to close and normal blood flow to be rerouted to surrounding vessels. Patients wear compression stockings for several days or more after the procedure, and are generally able to resume normal activity including exercise within just a few days.
SUBCLAVIAN STEAL SYNDROME TREATMENT
If plaque builds up in the subclavian arteries (below the clavicle), patients pay experience dizziness, vertigo, arm pain, or arm tingling. Subclavian steal syndrome is actually a complex grouping of symptoms and does not currently have a complete treatment available; however, providers at Pinnacle Vein and Vascular Center can deliver a number of therapies that can reduce symptoms and the risk of other health complications including heart attack and stroke.
THORACIC OUTLET SYNDROME
Thoracic outlet syndrome is a grouping of disorders that shows symptoms which may include: -Painful arm, neck, or shoulder -Numb or tingling fingers Symptoms are usually brought on because of pregnancy or injuries which may include: -Sports-related injury -Repetitive (on-the-job) injury -Motor vehicle accident Healthcare providers may recommend a number of treatment options, including pain management, physical therapy, and surgical repair.
THROMBECTOMY THROMBOSIS
In the case of a severe blood clot, doctors at Pinnacle Vein and Vascular Center may recommend and provide: -Thrombectomy, to surgically remove the clot -Thrombolysis, a “clot busting” treatment to dissolve the blockage –Uterine Fibroid Embolization -Uterine Fibroid Embolization is a minimally invasive procedure for fibroid tumors of the uterus. The procedure is also referred to as Uterine Artery Embolization. Fibroid tumors arise from the muscular wall of the uterus. This causes heavy menstrual bleeding, pain in the pelvis region and pressure on the bladder or bowel. Pinnacle Vein and Vascular Center will use a fluoroscope to guide the delivery of small particles to the uterus and fibroids. The small particles are injected through a catheter. These then block the arteries that provide blood flow, causing the fibroids to shrink. Varicocele: -Varicocele is an enlargement of the veins within the scrotum. This occurs in about one in six males but unlike varicose veins in the legs, it is more common in younger males, ages 15-25. Varicoceles are believed to be caused by defective valves in the veins within the scrotum, just above the testicles. These valves regulate the flow of blood to and from the testicles. When normal flow doesn’t occur, the blood backs up, causing the veins to enlarge. This most commonly takes place during puberty, when the testicles are experiencing rapid growth and need the most blood. Treatment is necessary only for infertility or if the varicocele causes persistent pain or discomfort or significant testicular atrophy. Surgical treatment of the varicocele usually involves tying off the affected vein to redirect the blood flow toward normal veins. Surgery can be open or laparoscopic, and is done on an outpatient basis.
VEIN LIGATION
Vein ligation is an extremely effective outpatient surgery that may be recommended for patients with: -Leaky veins that pool blood in the limb -Tired, achy, swollen legs -Open sores on their legs -The desire for cosmetic improvement of varicose veins The procedure ties off the damaged vein and either removes it or reroutes blood flow through surrounding veins with proper function.
VENOGRAPHY
Venography is an imaging test that uses x-ray contrast dye to reveal: -Blockages -Blood clots -DVT (deep vein thrombosis) -Vascular disorders -Vein function Venography can also help a healthcare provider to identify the origin point of a clot that has broken free and traveled to the heart or lung.

VASCULAR LAB

Pinnacle Vein and Vascular Center uses non-invasive diagnostic tests to assess most types of vascular problems.

Our thorough, individualized approach allows us to provide highest quality of patient-centered vascular care, with exceptional outcomes and minimal downtime.

Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (including Endograft)

A much less invasive approach to treating AAA, endografts have specific technical limitations and potential complications that must be considered. Once an endograft has been placed, there is a need for long-term surveillance to ensure that the graft remains in the correct position, that flow through the graft is normal and that the aneurysm is not expanding.

Arteriovenous Fistula and Graft Evaluation

An abnormal connection between an artery and a vein. Normally, blood flows from your arteries to your capillaries to your veins. … Arteriovenous fistulas are often surgically created for use in dialysis in people with severe kidney disease.

Bypass Graft Evaluation

Using a person’s own vein for the graft is the most durable means to treat severe, peripheral, artery disease when the blockage is below the level of the groin. Vein bypass grafts offer many advantages.

Carotid Artery (Cerebrovascular)

Carotid artery duplex scanning is also used for post-procedure evaluation after surgery, such as carotid endarterectomy or carotid artery stenting.

Deep Vein Thrombosis

This condition is serious because blood clots can loosen and lodge in the lungs. Leg pain or swelling may occur, but there may be no symptoms.

Lower Extremity Physiologic Testing (Peripheral Artery Disease [PAD)

A lower extremity arterial physiologic study may be requested to determine whether peripheral artery disease is present, what vessels are affected, and how severely the blood flow is impaired.

Mesenteric Artery Duplex Evaluation

Is recognised as a valuable tool for the assessment of blood flow in many vascular territories. The application of this technique to the superior mesenteric artery (SMA) has increased rapidly throughout the last decade.

Peripheral Arterial Duplex Scanning

Peripheral artery disease (PAD) is usually diagnosed on the basis of patients’ symptoms and physical examination in the clinic, confirmed by evaluations in the Vascular Laboratory with pressure measurements and other non-invasive tests.

Pseudoaneurysm Evaluation and Treatment

Also termed a false aneurysm, is a leakage of arterial blood from an artery into the surrounding tissue with a persistent communication between the originating artery and the resultant adjacent cavity.

Renal Artery Duplex Scanning

A sonogram or ultrasound using sound waves to visualize the renal arteries. The renal arteries feed the kidneys with oxygen rich blood. By checking these vessels, we can see if there is any blockage or narrowing.

Transcranial Doppler Evaluation

A non‐invasive, non‐ionising, inexpensive, portable and safe technique that uses a pulsed Doppler transducer for assessment of intracerebral blood flow.

Treadmill Exercise Testing (Claudication)

The ankle/brachial index (ABI) is an objective measurement of lower-extremity arterial perfusion. … In addition to evaluating the effect of exercise on the ankle-level blood pressure, treadmill exercise testing also offers a means to characterize the functional impact of claudication symptoms.

Vein Mapping

Ultrasound is a procedure that uses sound waves to “see” inside your body. This procedure is performed to create a “map” of your leg veins for the surgeon in preparation for various procedures that will include bypass graft surgery (replacing diseased vessels in your body with the healthy vein from your leg).

Venous Insufficiency (Varicose Veins)

In this condition, blood doesn’t flow back properly to the heart, causing blood to pool in the veins in your legs. Several factors can cause venous insufficiency, though it’s most commonly caused by blood clots (deep vein thrombosis) and varicose veins
