4 Reasons You May Need a Leg Ultrasound
An ultrasound of the veins produces an images of your body’s veins. This amazing technology allows us to look for abnormalities in your veins. Some things we look for are:
- blood clots
- tangled up veins
- dvt

Here are 4 signs you may need a leg ultrasound
- Abnormal warmth in an area on your leg. This warmth could also come with burning or itching feelings.
- Pain – any pain or discomfort in your legs and ankles may be the best indicator something might be wrong.
- Discoloration – any discoloration may mean that the skin around the affected area is changing color due to inflammation.
- Numbness or tingling – experiencing any sign of numbness typically is a sign of blood not flowing properly in your legs.
