Fall Pumpkin Seeds for Better Circulation
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The fall season brings us something iconic… PUMPKINS! whether it’s Pumpkin Spice Lattes, pumpkin carving or pumpkin scented candles, pumpkins are the true image of fall!
If you are one to go out and get yourself or your family a pumpkin for carving, we suggest – DON’T THROW OUT THE SEEDS! Often times you carve a pumpkin for Halloween or Thanksgiving and throw away all the “guts” which includes the seeds. This season, set the seeds aside, clean them and roast them for some healthy benefits! h
Here a few reasons to keep the seeds this season!
- Pumpkin seeds are stuffed with tons of antioxidants that can help protect against disease and reduce inflammation.
- Pumpkin seeds are extremely rich in magnesium. Magnesium goes to work supporting your blood pressure, your blood sugar and bone and heart health!
- Nutrients in pumpkin seeds may help keep your heart healthy by lowering or reducing your blood pressure and giving that good cholesterol a boost!
Most of all pumpkin seeds are a fun and easy snack! You can buy them pre-roasted or you can do it yourself after carving a fresh pumpkin. Make as much as you want and grab them as snacks on the go, in kid’s lunchboxes and more. You can even experiment with flavors making them a little more sweet with a light sprinkle of cinnamon or more savory with a light sprinkle of salt!
